Waiting for the Rain [Persona] by Chris JL on Flickr.Via Flickr:
The street photography advice for the week is from Martin Parr: “Wait for the rain, it makes shooting on the street easier and more interesting.”
I guess I cheated a bit since the rain was outside, and yes the girl was getting ready for it, but I shot from the dry comfort of my seat.

On Tiptoes by an untrained eye on Flickr.Via Flickr:
March 29th, 2008 - London, England
I hesitated for a long time over whether to post this in black and white or colour, particularly because in the latter there is a pleasingly harmonious palette of pinks, purples and blues. But I plumped for black and white in the end, because the image has, to my eyes at least, more of the timeless quality that I always admire in other people’s photographs.
I’ve added the colour version in the comments so you can compare for yourselves.
