I hesitated for a long time over whether to post this in black and white or colour, particularly because in the latter there is a pleasingly harmonious palette of pinks, purples and blues. But I plumped for black and white in the end, because the image has, to my eyes at least, more of the timeless quality that I always admire in other people’s photographs.
